The year was 1969 when a family in Cleveland, Ohio started the process of building a gunite swimming pool in their backyard. Joe Dempsey, then 13 years old, watched the process from excavation through filling the completed pool with water. Although Joe didn’t know it at the time, this experience was to be the first of many swimming pools he would supervise and later build. After returning to Cleveland from an overseas tour of duty, Joe Dempsey took a job with a local swimming pool builder. He moved to Colorado in 1978 where he continued building pools and spas. In 1985 Joe founded Aquality Construction.

Over the decades Aquality Construction has grown to become one of the most respected swimming pool companies in Colorado.
